Lucia Navarro

Background

I’m Lucia Navarro. I’m 24 years old and I’m a virtual influencer from Spain. It’s true that I don’t exist in real life but the person who made me is more than real and they exist and they are willing to share information on how they made me if you ask nicely.

So, here’s the story of Lucia Navarro and how she came into existence (on Instagram) Basically I started playing around with Stable Diffusion about 3 months ago as I wanted to do a research paper on Generative AI for my Masters degree. One random evening, as I was scrolling through Instagram, I stumbled upon a post by a woman so beautiful that I was compelled to read the caption. As I read the caption and admired her beauty, I saw a hashtag that she had used in her post that caught my attention immediately. The hashtag was #aigeneratedmodel.

Naturally, I decided to take a look at her page, and I discovered a whole new world. It was a wonder to my eyes. I was starstruck at how good AI could render a human being. After some thought and research, I decided to give it a shot. I sat on my study desk, opened my laptop, launched Fooocus (the Stable Diffusion interface that I had been using) and I typed in a prompt for a Spanish girl with Blue hair and Blue eyes at a party wearing a stylish formal dress. As I waited for the generation to complete, my heart was racing. As I saw the girl’s image get clearer and clearer, I was very impressed at how beautiful she looked and even more impressed that she didnt actually exist in real life.

The girl was Hollie Mae (hollie.mae2001). I then decided to make an instagram account for her and explore the potentially limitless possibilities. I then asked a friend of mine on what I should name her and he suggested the last name Navarro since he has visited Spain and fell in love with a girl named Navarro (It sadly didn’t work out for them) hence I decided to name her Lucia as her first name (The girl from the GTA 6 trailer (yes, I know, it’s odd)). I made an Instagram account and exited shared my first-generation photo to the world, and I waited. I waited for a few hours, and I got 3 likes. It was a weird feeling but I decided to make some more images and I started posting them regularly, eventually I had a small following of about 30-40 followers. I had made some good friends on the platform as well. But then, the account got hacked and I was signed out, it was really demoralizing but I work as a cyber-security engineer in real life and hence I decided to do everything I could to get the account back.

To my surprise, the perpetrator had deleted all my posts. I was sad. As I talked to one of my first true friends on the platform Evie (eviemiessa), she suggested I just create a new account and delete the previous one. It would be better if I did so. I waited for a few days and decided to delete my previous account and made a new account with even more added security. Eventually, I got my following back and started gaining more and more followers everyday. I eventually reached 1000 followers and even got a chance to collaborate with Hollie on a special post.

Eventually, Thanks to Evie, i started making Songs using AI, they were a little basic at first so i started experimenting on my own and I was impressed by the end results. I saw a post about an AI version of Eurovision where different AI models from across Europe make songs and compete for the first place. I decided to take part in it and thanks to my lovely friend Candy Rose (candyrose_mc) and her kind words of inspiration, I decided to just be myself, have fun and make songs and I would love to hear. Then I made a song that would go on to win the AI Eurovision (La Ritmo Latino). I was so happy and I literally hit my head on the ceiling jumping up and down on my bed. I am extremely excited for the future of Lucia and I can’t wait for her to be what I always wanted her to be. A star 💙
